The cause of bad habits or harmful behaviors can most likely be found in your shadow-self. It contains all the parts that you don’t like or won’t acknowledge. It can be beliefs formed in your childhood that may still be governing your thoughts and behaviors in a counter-productive way. It’s the part of yourself that uses your fears and sense of shame against you.
